Originating from Toronto Canada, Rob DaBoom is a seasoned veteran with over 25 years as a deejay. When he was 16 he hosted and produced his own radio program “The Raw Energy Experience” on CHRY 105.5 FM. The popular overnight show featured the latest house music with guests such as Robert Owens, Lidell Townsell and Paris Grey. The program also coincided with the birth of the Toronto rave scene and soon featured an array of deejays including Addy, Joe Manzone, Joee Cons, Groove Institute and others dropping techno, house, jungle and trance.
Fully embracing the culture of underground electronic music DaBoom began promoting large scale events in the mid 90’s was a co-founder of Utopia, Ministry, Universal Flavor and Liquid Groove.
Prior to taking a brief hiatus from the dj circuit DaBoom played events in Canada, the U.S., Bahamas and Italy and has featured alongside international talents such as Carl Cox, Masters at Work, Misstress Barbara, Victor Calderone, Joey Beltram, Harry Romero, Eric Morillo, Eminem and many others.
Rob would describe his style of technical mixing as “mixing rolling beats” taking musical excerpts of House and Techno and creating an overlapping ebb and flow to deliver a unique mix program.
